Shibari Speed Date (for all levels)
Get to know other Shibari fans
Make friends to tie and practice with
This event is for you if:
You are interested in Shibari (tying or getting tied)
You want to get to know more people who share your interest
You want to make new friends to practice or play with
Mind you: the focus of this event is friendship.
Finding someone to also date could happen, but is not the focus.
What to expect?
During this afternoon you will meet many different participants through short interactions: both talking to each other as well as by tying together. The tying or getting tied will be in a fun and light way, so you can experience how you feel around each other.
Expect fun exercises that are in a group, in trio’s and in duo’s.
You are always free to choose to participate or to skip a round. We want to encourage everyone to respect their own boundaries, and follow their desires and curiosity.
The program
Group introduction and a 20 minute intro into Shibari techniques (you will learn to tie some basics on your own body)
Shibari rope games: each exercise you will tie with several different people, so you have short interactions with different people in the group
Social break to chat
Rounds of matchmaking and short freestyle tying
Boundaries and desires
During the entire event you are free to participate by tying or getting tied (active participation) or to decide to watch (passive participation).
We encourage everyone to respect their own boundaries, and follow their desires and curiosity.
You can participate in your own tempo.
Atmosphere of the event
This event will be friendly, social and fun. There will be humour and experimentation.
Butterfly makes an effort to be an inclusive facilitator. No matter your age, gender, orientation, body type - everyone is welcome. She understands you might be nervous or excited taking part in a event like this. So at the start of the gathering we will create a social container together, in the group. Usually, people feel really safe and relaxed within the first hour. So even when you're hesitant, come and join us!
