Shibari Basics workshop: The Third Rope
Do you already know some Shibari basic technique? Let’s focus on bondages for the entire body. We will connect upper body and lower body. Like sitting crossed legged, bent over. Or lying on your belly with your legs tied to your back. Our focus will be on technical skills.
Perfect next step
Have you already joined the workshop ‘Shibari Basics: The First Rope’ (formerly called ‘Shibari basics’)? And maybe also ‘Shibari Basics: The Second Rope’ (not necessary)? Then this is your ideal next step.
This workshop is for you when:
You know how to tie a good single column tie
You know basic frictions
You learn full body bondages
You will learn new ways to tie your partner up: several ways to combine bondages on the torso and legs. So that your partner ends up completely tied up. In a sitting or a lying down position.
Shibari rope structures
Here’s a few examples of what we will go through during this workshop:
A crossed legged position Shibari bondage
How to tie the upper body to the legs while bending forward
A ‘hogtie’ bondage: lying on your belly, with legs bent tied to your back
PLUS: we always adjust the bondages to the possibilities and limitations to your specific body. So even if you have an injury, you’re welcome to join!
We will also look at:
How to use and influence the breath
Anatomy and safety: what risks should you avoid, what do you pay attention to during your scene, what signals from the body should you take seriously, what about nerves and any physical risks, how do you check during the interaction if your partner is okay?

What others say about this workshop
Niels (34)
"I thought the Shibari Basics workshop was good and nice. There was a relaxed atmosphere, the workshop providers Butterfly and her partner really know what they are talking about and it is a pleasure to see them tie together. That certainly inspired me. The techniques were explained clearly, with enough time to practice but also a in a pleasant high tempo, so that we could get a good grasp of a number of things. Also, the information about safety was necessary and a perfect addiction to the content."
