Pleasurable Pain, giving and receiving ~ Shibari workshop

Giving and receiving pain can be very pleasurable. This workshop is for people who want to experiment and discover how they can use rope to apply exciting pressure to the body. We play with pleasurable pain. All within your own limits.

Playful and pleasurable

Teasing your partner and inflicting a little pain can be a lot of fun. Many people can really enjoy pain, and rope can be an ideal tool for giving yummy pain.

During this workshop, Butterfly will teach you to give and receive pleasurable pain.

It's all about pleasure, and being mean in a playful way. Mutual fun is the main focus. Because giving pain, being caring and being humourous can go hand in hand.

Slow and safe exploration

  • During this workshop we take it slow. To make sure each person can explore their relationship to giving or receiving pain in a mindful way.

  • It’s not about inflicting or deadling with as much pain as possible.

  • Each person is unique. What gives us pleasure is also unique.

  • There will be absolutely no pressure. Only a relaxed space to explore and discover what you do and don’t like.

What you will learn

  • We cover basics: how does pain work, what is pleasant pain and how can you deliver it?

  • Plus attention to the receiver: how do you deal with pain impulses in such a way that you can enjoy them, instead of fight against them? After all, it's all about pleasure.

  • Butterfly covers basic anatomy and safety, and we discuss the importance of communication and interplay between partners.

  • The knotter learns a number of bondages, which can be used to vary from subtle pain to strong pain.

  • Types of bondages covered include hair bondage, foot bondage and crotch rope.

  • Butterfly also teaches you the importance of timing and intimate interaction, and reveals some of her personal secrets that she applies during bondage play.

Who is this for?

You need no or little experience with giving or receiving pain or with Shibari to participate in this workshop. Whether you are beginner or advanced, you will gain a lot of knowledge. What others say about this workshop

"We had so much fun! My partner discovered what kind of pain she likes, and I learned how to give her the pain she loves. We were both really surprised how liberating this was. We were hestitant to play with pain, because we were also afraid to cause injuries. But during this workshop we were guided to take it easy, and slowly explore what suits us. Also, it helped to learn something about anatomy and safety. We are now sharing giggles and incorporated giving pain with rope into our intimate life and play sessions.”
